RIDE THE BUS TO JACKSON - REALTOR® DAY AT CAPITOL   HAAR will again be chartering a bus to Jackson for REALTOR® Day at the Capitol on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010.  There will be no charge to ride, but we are requesting a $10.00 per person donation to help defray the costs.  We have made quite an impression on Legislators as well as other REALTOR® groups in attendance the last couple of years and we want to do it again!  However, we need to know how many will commit by the Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010.  The trip also includes breakfast in the Capitol Rotunda at 9:00 a.m. and a luncheon at the MAR Building.  All this is free of charge.  The bus will leave the HAAR Office at 7:00 a.m. and leave Jackson after the MAR General Membership Meeting around 2:00 p.m.  Affiliates, feel free to join us too!  You must register with MAR to attend and you must register with HAAR to ride the bus.  To register to ride the bus, just click on reply.   To register for the event, click here.  For more information or if you have any questions, please call the HAAR Office or Cheryl Cranford, Chairman of the Legislative/Political Affairs Committee at 601-296-2001.

2010 HAAR Dues Billing Has Been Mailed and Are Due Jan. 4, 2010  Your HAAR Dues which includes local, state and national dues and assessments for 2010 have been snail-mailed and e-mailed.  Dues and assessments are due by Jan. 4, 2010.  A $50.00 late fee will be assessed if dues and fees are not paid by Jan. 4, 2010.  A late fee of $100.00 will be charged if dues and fees are not paid by Feb. 1, 2010.  HAAR will allow you to pay your dues in installments as long as all dues and fees are paid by Jan. 4, 2010.  If you would like to pay a little each week, or half this month and half in December, we will work with you.  Brokers, remember, if you have a licensee who will be going inactive, you must turn their license into the MREC by Dec. 31, 2009 to avoid paying non-member assessments for that licensee.  The broker is responsible for payment of those licensees who keep their licenses active, but do not renew their membership.

FEBRUARY

1st  $100.00 late fee is to be added to any unpaid board membership dues.
